• Portraits are painted in oil
• Travel and accomodations are paid by the client
• Shipping and framing are paid by the client
• 50% deposit and balance due on completion of the portrait.
Through phone conversations, I establish the client's
expectations of the portrait, approximate size and possible location where
the portrait will hang.
After I arrive at the client's home, we further develop the details of the portrait. I offer my professional opinion about setting, dress and the mood of the portrait. Once these things are resolved, we prepare for the photography session.
Afterwards, the client and I work together to select the best reference photos. I paint the portrait in my studio. The client approves the final work by either an 8 x 10 photo or by coming to my studio to see the original. The portrait is then shipped via the client's choice of carriers.
